Decision in favour of Trade Fair from 7 to 11 December 2020: Longstanding Conceptual Sponsor Associations and Supporters endorse the Dates

From 7 to 11 December 2020 wire & Tube 2020, the No. 1 trade fair for the wire and tube industry, will open its doors at the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre.

Dr. Gunther Voswinckel, President of the International Tube Association (ITA), endorses the holding of wire & Tube 2020: “We welcome this decision and look forward with anticipation to the trade fair kicking off in December. With the successful holding of the CARAVAN SALON Messe Düsseldorf has already given proof that trade fairs are also indispensable marketing tools in these times. We look forward to finally talking to customers and suppliers in the tube industry personally again.”

“This year sees us celebrate our 50th anniversary. We are so delighted to be able to celebrate this jubilee at wire & Tube 2020 thanks to the hygiene and safety concept so expertly implemented by Messe Düsseldorf and which I was able to convince myself of during the CARAVAN SALON 2020. If this concept is adapted to our industrial trade fair in December, nothing stands in the way of a successful course for all parties involved,” adds Bernd Lohmüller, Managing Director of Maschinenfabrik NIEHOFF and Executive Board Member of the International Wire and Machinery Association.

Drew Richards, President of the Wire and Cable Industry Suppliers Association, also looks to the forthcoming event with optimism: “We applaud Messe Düsseldorf’s efforts to stage wire 2020 in a manner that meets the current conditions of the industry and world. WCISA is also supporting its members companies that plan to exhibit in the North American pavilion as well as on their own, and we respect the individual decisions of each member company.”

Commenting on this Friedrich-Georg Kehrer, Portfolio Director wire / Tube and Flow Technologies at Messe Düsseldorf, adds: “We expect a very high level of interest among visitors from Europe despite the tense economic situation. So far one third of all the visitors at both trade fairs hailed from Germany, two thirds were international experts. The exhibitors from industry and trade will present their customers a versatile and wide spectrum of news and trends from the tube, wire and cable industries at the exhibition centre in Düsseldorf.“

The leading global trade fairs wire & Tube will be held in compliance with the applicable hygiene and distance rules of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. Read more about the hygiene concept of Messe Düsseldorf at: https://www.tube-tradefair.com/en/Visitor/Hygiene_Concept
