As a technical and market information platform, the ITA offers a unique range of services and events to promote new technology and growth within our industry. These include seminars, workshops, expos, conferences and networking events (see also ITA Conferences).
The ITA-India Chapter, together with Messe Düsseldorf India, held a webinar on May 20, 2022. In essence, the webinar addressed the current and emerging trends in the use of tubes in the automotive industry, with the automotive industry also presenting its case for better products to meet changing demand.

The ITA netForum is a digital platform which enables colleagues from across the industry to maintain the level of exchange they have been used to. Its establishment was accelerated by the extraordinary conditions forced upon us all by the pandemic. Its potential in an increasingly connected world is evident enough for it to become a permanent fixture of forthcoming ITA itineraries.

Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, it was clear that face-to-face meetings were limited. But in the meantime, the ITA proposed a series of web conferences to restore the dialogue our sector needs to thrive.
The first of this series took place on 9 September 2020 at 3pm CEST.
We were able to attract for our panel:
- Donald Gibeaut, Global Tubular Product Manager at AjaxTocco Magnethermic.
- Frank Harms, Managing Director of Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahlrohr e.V.
- Enrico Caruso, Senior Steel Trading Consultant
- Dr. Gunther Voswinckel, President of the ITA
The panel speakers shared their views and experiences with us on the following topics:
- World market for tubes (OCTG, automotive, construction, engineering).
- Marketing during the Corona pandemic
