New Service App from Schuler
Customers can contact Service using their smartphones
for expert assistance right at their machine
Expert assistance right at the machine – thanks to the new, free Service App from Schuler: Customers can quickly obtain answers to their questions and help in solving a problem via their smartphones, as experts at Schuler will assess images and videos, for example, sent to them via the app. The software is part of the Smart Press Shop concept which Schuler uses to present solutions for networking in forming technology at the EuroBLECH trade fair in Hanover.
“The Service App enables us to provide even better support for our customers, increase the availability of their systems and minimize downtime,” says Managing Director Axel Meyer, Head of the Service Division at Schuler. “In general, problems are solved more quickly by engaging in a dialog with the experts from Schuler via the software, which offers intuitive operation. Customers receive expert assistance from us via their smartphones, while they are still standing next to their presses. It couldn’t be any faster.”
With experience gained from tens of thousands of installed Schuler presses under their belt, the Service is often able to locate the cause relatively easily with the aid of the photos or videos that the customer has taken on-site at the line using the app, and ideally resolve the problem there and then. If a component needs to be replaced, then the user can record it using the camera on their smartphone and send a request to Service straight away with the aid of the part number.
If necessary, users can also call the Service Hotline directly from the app and, if desired, they can also receive product information and service news – such as training dates or software updates for system controls – as push messages to their mobile telephone, so they are always up to date.
The Service App from Schuler is available now, free of charge, as a download for Android phones and iPhones.
