New high-performance control system and bending tool solution

Tube bending solutions during Industry 4.0 (the Fourth Industrial Revolution) Based on this motto, Schwarze-Robitec GmbH will be presenting its new high-performance control system NxG 2.0 at the International Trade Fair Tube® 2016 in Hall 5, Booth E27. This totally re-engineered control system makes it possible to create a network of bending machines within a company. Thus, it guarantees a flexibility that increases considerably during the production of bending products. Furthermore, the company introduces a new bending tool with an integrated cutting device. This design makes it possible to bend and cut pipe components of commercially available lengths in a single process step. The result: Cycle times and material waste are reduced significantly.

During the Tube® 2016, visitors to the Schwarze-Robitec booth will have the opportunity to find out more about intelligent tube bending solutions. "The CNC-controlled system NxG 2.0 allowed us to tie a total package together that consists of software and hardware and that will undoubtedly improve the tube bending production in the not so distant future", says Bert Zorn, General Manager of Schwarze-Robitec. With the objective to get the bending technology ready for Industry 4.0, the company integrated fundamental modules into the new control system. In addition to a new operating concept, and besides standard statistical information about the bent component, the further development of the high-performance NxG makes it also possible to record and evaluate process data.

Integrated sensors provide information about wear parts to arrive at conclusions such as the maintenance requirement of the machine. The advanced software uses icons displayed on the desktop, and its new graphical user interface ensures process reliability and intuitive operability.

The second highlight introduced at the trade fair is the new tool solution by Schwarze-Robitec, a cutting device integrated into the bending tool. With these intelligent cutting tools and the combination of bending and cutting work processes, the users can reduce the production times significantly. Furthermore, the material waste is decreased up to 90 percent a drastic cost-saving; in particular, when it comes to high-quality materials and short bent tube components. Experts of the tube bending specialist are available at the booth to answer any question by the visitors about industry trends, new developments, and the company's product portfolio.
