Roll-Kraft Hosts First 2015 Regional Tube and Pipe and Roll Forming Seminars in Houston
Roll-Kraft kicked off the 2015 edition of its popular tube and pipe and roll forming training seminar series on January 21-22 in Houston, Texas. The January 21 seminar focused on training for the tube and pipe mill industry (welded tube and pipe), while January 22 was aimed at the roll form industry (primarily open profiles, but also form square/weld square shapes).
Robert A. Sladky, Vice President of Tube Mill Engineering for Roll-Kraft, was joined by Bret Molnar, Senior Technical Advisor, and Dave Rostocil, Director of Product Applications, as the featured speakers for the event.
The first live Roll-Kraft training seminars of 2015 included a revised presentation with live action tube and pipe and roll forming teaching videos that showed many of the key teaching points in action. Based on attendee feedback, this feature will continue to be incorporated for both on-site and regional tube and pipe and roll forming training seminars in the future.
The attendee evaluations from the Houston events indicated the significant value gained from the program, as it pertains to a variety of job functions and skill levels.
One attendee stated, “This seminar has given me insight to habits that we need to get away from and basics we need to apply.” Another said, “These guys know their stuff! The seminar was highly interactive with the attendees. It was far from boring!” Finally, one long-time attendee stated, “I have taken this course several times, and I always seem to take in something new every time.”
Roll-Kraft’s commitment to excellence in the tube and pipe and roll forming education field continues in 2015 with several planned events. Summertime dates will soon be set for the annual seminars at Roll-Kraft’s Mentor, Ohio headquarters. In addition, plans for regional seminars on the West Coast and in Canada are currently in the works.
Besides conducting regional training seminars and events periodically throughout the year, Roll-Kraft offers tube and pipe training and roll forming training programs at a customer’s location. Conducting a training program on-site allows the instructors to focus on the customer’s mills, tooling, and staff, and allows interaction with their everyday issues and experiences.
