Pipes with polypropylene coating

Interpipe started to supply pipes with polypropylene coating

Interpipe mastered the technology of pipe insulation with three-layer polypropylene coating for welded and seamless pipes of 114-530 mm outside diameter.
Polypropylene has high thermal endurance and enhanced impact, punching, cutting, and galling strength. Pipes with the polypropylene coating can be used in the aggressive environment conditions, e.g. for construction of subsea and shelf pipelines. Polypropylene coated pipes endure the exploitation temperature of 80-120° C, while usual polyethylene coating can be used only in the environments with the temperatures below zero up to 80° C.
Polypropylene coating, provided by Interpipe, is certified in accordance to the requirements of ISO 21809-1 and DIN 30678, and successfully passed major tests:
• Coating continuity
• Impact strength
• Impression
• Elongation at rupture
• Pull strength
• Thermosetting rate
• Cathode lamination
• Flexibility
• Hot-water immersion tests.
