CENTRAVIS Tubes Tested for Strength
CENTRAVIS, a leading global provider of high quality solutions in the segment of seamless stainless steel tubes & pipes, has recently passed intense burst testing on its instrumentation tubes under the supervision of Bureau Veritas.
Testing was carried out on three types of tubing. The CENTRAVIS 3/8" (9,5 mm) x 0.035" (0.89 mm) SS316 / 316L tube, designed to work under a pressure of 3,596 PSI, was tested at a pressure of 14,384 PSI. The CENTRAVIS 3/8" (9,5 mm) x 0.065" (1.65 mm) SS316 / 316L tube, with a working pressure of 6,685 PSI, was tested at 26,740 PSI. And the CENTRAVIS 1/2" (12,7 mm) x 0.035" (0.89 mm) SS316 / 316L tube, which works at 2,697 PSI, was put to the test at 10,788 PSI. The testing was arranged jointly with Centravis partner – ESMA Group, a company with more than 40 years of experience in the sector of oil and gas in the UAE and which is holding stock of Centravis Instrumentation Tubes in austenitic (TP316/316L), super austenitic (N08904, S31254, TP317L) and Nickel Alloy (N08825, N06625) Grades.
