CENTRAVIS employees received training in RCC-M regulations
The training was attended by staff of the sales support department, technical department, quality management department and central laboratory of CENTRAVIS PRODUCTION UKRAINE PJSC, whose extensive expertise include working under such national standards as GOST and TU as well as foreign ASTM, EN, etc. An increase of the demand for seamless stainless steel tubes for the nuclear power industry in accordance with the requirements of RCC-M was the prerequisite for the training.
Specially designed training program was provided by NuclExpert company, one of the few accredited by AFCEN Association, the RCC-M developer and owner. The coach was Anne-Marie Roy, head of NuclExpert company, former technical expert at EDF (Électricité de France), the largest state power generating company in France and the world's largest operator of nuclear power plants.
“Despite the complexity and specificity of the standard, training materials were picked up very well, the theory combined with practice, presentation materials and tests. We got a clear understanding of the RCC-M rules structure, studied mechanisms of their application when receiving requests and orders, as well as specific requirements with regards to our production technology”, said Igor Ageyenko, Global Product Leader, Power Generation.
France is one of the world’s leading countries in the field of nuclear energy and the construction of nuclear power plants abroad. Nuclear power plants provide around 85% of electricity generated in the country. This market is very promising, and this training, without doubt, provided the company with effective tools and knowledge necessary for development in the segment of power generation.
RCC-M M is a set of design and construction rules for mechanical components of PWR nuclear islands and primarily applies to safety class components. Designed by AFCEN (French Association for the rules governing the Design, Construction and Operating Supervision of the Equipment Items for Electro Nuclear Boilers), the RCC-M is applied to nuclear pressure components for a number of countries outside of the United States and is for use on mechanical components only.
