Mitchell Manufactures Push Pointer for Cold Drawing Aluminum Tubes

George A. Mitchell Company, based in Youngstown, Ohio, has been contracted to supply a 12,500 Lb. Three (3) Die In-Line Hydraulic Push Pointer for a US manufacturer of cold drawn aluminum tubes for the aerospace industry. This is one of the fastest Push Pointers Mitchell makes, able to produce a 6” point length with a three (3) die reduction in 5 seconds.

Mitchell developed Hydraulic Push Pointing over 50 years ago, and shipped its first 12,500 Lb. Three Die In-Line Push Pointer in 1968.

Mitchell Push Pointing machines have several advantages over other methods of pointing, including, but not limited to, material savings, low noise level, improved ergonomics, reduced changeover time and straighter points.
