World Steel Tube Production – Review
In 2019, global steel tube production reached 171 million tons, an increase of 20.1%. The production of seamless tubes decreased by 1.6 % to 43 Mio tons; the increase in India was particularly significant at 20%.
Germany, with a loss of 14.6%, displayed a negative result in the seamless tubes market, and a minus of 26.5% in total productions. Chinese steel tube producers produced 96 million metric tons, a plus of 1.6%, whilst production in the USA dropped by 0.2% to 11.8 million tons.
