Faspar SpA is a globally recognized producer of turn-key equipment for the processing of metal coils. Established in 1966 as a press designer and manufacturer, the company is located in the Milan area of Robecco sul Naviglio, and has a 4,000 sq metre covered production area at its disposal. Costa Levigatrici SpA is an Italian company located in Schio. It was established in 1982, and has grown to become one of the worldwide leaders in the manufacture of wide belt sanding machines. In 1989, it built its first 2,500mm wide metal polishing machine, and in 1993, the “Costa Metal” division was created.
Today, “Costa Metal”, with more than 1,000 units installed, has become one of the most important firms for the manufacture of polishing, brushing, grinding and deburring machines for ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Costa Levigatrici SpA currently employs around 200 people, and it operates three production plants with a total covered area of 17,000 sq metres. At its headquarters in Schio, it has established a permanent showroom, and a testing facility, with several fully operational machines, where, with the support of its specialized technicians, customers can find, and then test, the most suitable solutions for their production requirements.
In 2006, a laboratory was established on the same site where instruments can check the results of all the tests performed electronically. As well as for the verification of tests and analysis, the laboraratory is also used to test abrasive materials so that comprehesive professional advice can be given regarding the best tools to use for any particular finishing requirement.
