EFD Induction hires industry veteran to serve Induction Power Systems Integrators and OEMs
EFD Induction has announced it is putting resources behind a new focus on the OEM and Integrator market. “This is a big and needed development for us,” says Terje Moldestad, EFD Induction Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “It’s clear that OEMs, Systems Integrators and machine builders require our induction power systems—and these demands are best met by a dedicated business development unit.”
To lead the new initiative, EFD Induction has hired Vernon Perkins, an induction industry veteran who was Managing Director at Ambrell in the UK before working seven years as the company’s Director of Business Development for Europe and the Middle East. Perkins new role is Global Sales Director for Induction Power Systems to OEMs and Integrators.
“I’m thrilled to join EFD Induction,” says Perkins. “I’m also excited about building relationships with some of the world’s top manufacturers and fabricators. OEMs and Integrators not only demand close account care, they often require equipment and services beyond what traditional structures can deliver. It’s one of my tasks to ensure we deliver such solutions. OEMs and Integrators often use our equipment as modules, or sub-assemblies in larger, complex systems—so it is critical that we continue to meet their high expectations.”
Perkins holds an MBA, and has decades of experience working at managerial level in the international industrial heating industry. He has already started in his new position, and will be working out of the UK.
