Tubotech 2013 dates changed to 1-3 October and to run in conjunction with wire South America 2013 (formerly WiCAB).

Originally scheduled for 8-10 October 2013 the premier tube exhibition for South America, Tubotech, will now start one week earlier concurrently with wire South America. The exhibition is very timely given the background of impressive growth in Brazil and other countries in the region and of course with Brazil to host both the next Football World Cup and Olympic Games.

Brazil’s economic growth is continuing steadily. With a gross domestic product of approximately USD 2,500 billion (2011), Brazil is the sixth-largest economy in the world. For 2012, experts were expecting an economic growth of 3 –3.5% (2011: 2.8%). About 40% of the gross domestic product is generated by the industrial sector. Not only does the South-American country have a strong domestic market, its annual exports also increased to USD 256 billion in 2011. The strong economic situation of Brazil’s construction and automotive industries leads to a significantly increasing need for tube products. Expansion of the
infrastructure, the boom in the construction industry, rising investments in capital goods as well as the excellent market situation of the consumer goods industry are strong indicators of Brazil’s economic power.

Organised by Messe Düsseldorf wire South America is being held for the first time in parallel with Tubotech – 7th International Trade Fair for Pipes, Valves, Fittings and Components at the Imigrantes Exposicoes exhibition grounds in Sao Paulo.
Tubotech attracted more than 18,000 trade visitors in 2011 and is supported by the ITA. Any company interested in exhibiting as part of the ITA exhibitor group should contact the Secretariat:
