WeCare - lived sustainability of the sister companies Leitz, Boehlerit and Bilz entered its second round with great success
The employees of the three Brucklacher Group compa- nies - Leitz, Boehlerit and Bilz - have written another successful chapter in the history of sustainability with great commitment, enthusi- asm and fantastic contribu- tions as part of the WeCare Action Weeks 2023. It is
part of the self-image of the three sister companies and their workforces to conserve resources, treat the envi- ronment responsibly and do
their bit for society. The employees once again demonstrated this in an impres- sive way with a wide range of activities

Boehlerit, which brings together the worldwide activities of the 22Brucklacher Group in the areas of society, social affairs and culture

during the second WeCare Action Weeks that recently took place.
The global WeCare initiative bundles the family-owned company’s local activities
in the areas of humanitarian and social commitment as well as species, nature and environmental protection, some of which have existed there for decades. In order
to bring the momentum of WeCare and the team spirit to life for the workforce, the WeCare Action Weeks have been held annually at the Brucklacher Group’s loca- tions worldwide since 2022. This year’s action weeks far exceeded expectations.
Joint successes during the WeCare Action Weeks 2023
In 33 countries, 1,900 employees volun- teered more than 4,300 hours in the service of a good cause. Among other things, 3.3 tons of donations in kind were collected around the globe, 99 liters of blood were donated, 3,700 m2 of flowering areas were created and 2,430 trees were planted. Other projects of the successful initiative included the construction of 240 insect hotels, nesting boxes and feeders for birds and small wild animals as well as the estab- lishment of 8 additional bee colonies on the company premises. In addition, 1.8 tons
of CO2 were saved by traveling to work without a car and by eating meatless meals. In addition, many helping hands removed 2.5 tons of waste from the environment and waterways. In total, we succeeded in generating donations and financial con- tributions of around € 83,000, which were used to support local and national organi- zations and projects. As a result, around 50 social and charitable institutions received donations.
