In essence the tube and pipe producers
it these four countries are benefitting the most from the present geopolitical tur- bulences. Japan and Europe on the other hand are suffering and do not participate in the general growth trend reported for 2023 in the range of +14%!
Europe has lost a significant amount of
its production capacities second half of 2023 due to Vallourec´ s shut down of their major European production facilities, whose capacities need to be replaced by others as far as technically possible. Some tube customers do have problems for ade- quate replacement.
